Set out below is a list, that whilst not exhaustive, covers many of the jobs carried out by volunteers and illustrates the diversity and importance of volunteering at the club.

Ashore

General Club Activity Support & Maintenance

• Awning - erecting/removing/maintaining
• Club flowerpots - planting, maintaining, clearing
• Restaurant flowers (team)
• Small maintenance jobs e.g. terrace tables 
• Offering storage for some items
• Dump runs
• Managing club prizes and trophies
• The website – update and manage
• Social media – promote the club
• AV equipment – know how if works and run as necessary e.g. for sports, films etc
• Help behind the bar e.g. during welcome hour
• Help with restaurant service
• Ordering and selling club merchandise
• Photographs and calendar 

Professional Support/Advice

• Interior design
• Legal expertise
• HR expertise
• Accounting
• Strategic planning
• Catering and hospitality expertise

On the Water

Regatta Tasks

• Organising regatta helpers
• Entrant administration 
• Race recording
• Results 
• Coordinate prizes and trophies
• Tally Boat
• Loan of Committee Boat
• Committee Boat helpers
• Safety Boat crews
• Loan of rib
• Ferryboat person/boat and crew
• Three shifts of volunteers in the Clubhouse to help with service/tidying

Water & Boats (managed by the Sailing Committee)

• Pontoon - putting out and removing 
• Laying up club boats
• Fitting out Club boats and race equipment 
• Looking after Club dinghy and Frape
• Boat Store, dinghy racks and engine store - administering waiting lists and billing
