A gripping and emotional psycological thriller, with a twist.

Don't Look Now (Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland)

Pride & Prejudice (Keira Knightly)

Key performances and modern film-making techniques make this familiar periiod piece fresh and enjoyable.  In Jane Austin's perennially popular story of the game of love aong the Britishupper class, the parents of five daughters, comfortable within their means but well short of rich, are looking for suitable husbands for their girls.

2nd November

Saving Mr Banks (Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks)

Smart witty entertainment.  A true story involving Walt Disney's battle to make the film of Mary Poppins.

16th November

The Book Thief (Geoffrey Rush, Emily Watson and Sophie Nelisse)

The film, which is set in WW2 Germany, is based on the best selling book of the same title.  How a young girl affects the lives of those around her.

30th November

An epic spectacle and sweeping love story.  It's a shame that history suffered so much at the hands of the writers, however, it is still an amazing film and well worth a second watch.

14th December

Dad's Army

A lot of nonsense really but ideal for just before Christmas.  A fun story with an explosive finale.
