Various forms of membership are available including short term membership for visiting yachtsmen and those interested in applying for full membership. Persons living within the county of Cornwall are designated inport and those living outside may join as outport members at a reduced subscription.The Club welcomes yachtsmen and their families and young sailors. Annual subscriptions vary according to type of membership and age of the member.
The Royal Fowey Yacht Club has one of the lowest subscription rates for similar clubs on the South Coast. An entrance fee is payable, equivalent to one year's subscription.
Prospective members are proposed and seconded by existing members who have themselves been a member for two years or more.
Temporary Membership
The Club welcomes applications for temporary membership.
Temporary membership is usually also available for anyone wishing to apply for full membership. It allows potential new members an opportunity to use and get to know the Club before committing to full membership, and it can normally be given within a few days’ notice, rather than the longer period needed to process applications for full membership.
The fee for temporary membership is £15.00 per week. This is deducted from the cost of any full membership subscription which follows.
